In due course, roadtrains will afford inexpensive public transit and very comfortable private vehicles affording refreshing trips. They will also come to use a wide variety of fuel sources at rail train like levels of safety.
The first step is to show that cars can operate be physically connected - while moving - with emergency handling that provides an acceptable level of safety. Introduction to the market is five to ten years away and will eventually demand that other drivers use on-board speed advisories (based on vehicle to vehicle and traffic signals).
